PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system that can supply power to different kinds of electronic apparatuses by a single power transmitter. SOLUTION: The power supply system is composed of: the power transmitter 1 comprising a primary-side coil 11 and a primary-side circuit 10 that imparts a pulse voltage generated by switching a DC voltage obtained by rectifying and smoothing commercial power to the primary-side coil 11; a portable telephone set 2 (receiving apparatus) comprising a secondary-side coil 12 magnetically coupled to the primary-side coil 11 and a secondary-side circuit 13 that rectifies and smoothes an induction voltage induced to the secondary-side coil 12. There are arranged as a power adjusting means that adjusts transmission power in accordance with the power of the receiving apparatus: a carrier wave oscillation circuit 37 that oscillates a carrier wave; a modulation circuit 45 that transmits a modulation wave generated by modulating an information signal of the portable telephone set 2 in response to the carrier wave; and a power switching circuit 32 that switches the transmission power from the information signal generated by demodulating the modulation wave by a demodulation circuit 36.
