PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the connector of a smoothing capacitor in a power conversion apparatus capable of simplifying the replacing work of the smoothing capacitor installed in the vicinity of a switching element in the power converter. SOLUTION: In the connector for fixing and connecting a surge absorbing tubular smoothing capacitor 3 to a position of a main conductor 5 being connected with the switching element 1 in the power conversion apparatus at an equidistance from the fixing position of the switching element, a pair of planar auxiliary conductors 8 are provided such that the conductors are secured, on one end side thereof, to two terminals provided on one end face of the tubular smoothing capacitor and are projected from the outer circumference of the smoothing capacitor on the other end side so that connection is made through the auxiliary conductors.
