PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection sensor capable of recognizing the level change of an output signal caused by a change with the passage of time, while grasping easily the degree of the change of the present output signal level. SOLUTION: Display control of a digital display 21 is performed so that only a longitudinal segment corresponding to the minimum level, the maximum level and the present level is lit or flashed, and that only a lower stage longitudinal segment is lit relative to the minimum level and only an upper stage longitudinal segment is lit relative to the maximum level and an upper and lower stage longitudinal segment is lit relative to the present level, to thereby have different display modes mutually. For example, when the output signal level is wholly lowered by the change with the passage of time caused by deterioration of a floodlighting element 11 or the like, the position of a longitudinal segment corresponding to the maximum level and the minimum level is slid to a longitudinal segment corresponding to a lower level.
