PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchange technique for transferring thermal energy that hot spring water dissolving much mineral matter has to liquid or gas heating media without generating scales on a heat exchange surface. SOLUTION: The atmosphere having low water vapor partial pressure flowing from a hot spring water outlet/breather 14 comes into contact with the hot spring water 12 that is scattered from a hot spring water scattering means 13 and falls in a hot spring water circulator section 10, thus resulting in gaseous mixture having high water vapor partial pressure. The gaseous mixture having high water vapor partial pressure passes through a connection section 41 from a latent heat structure 1A and flows into a heating medium heating structure 2, water vapor in the gaseous mixture is condensed at temperature (dew point temperature) in which the water vapor partial pressure is set to be saturation water vapor pressure in the gaseous mixture on a heat transfer surface in a heat exchanger 25 provided in a gaseous mixture circulator section 20, thus reducing the water vapor partial pressure for flowing down in the gaseous mixture circulator section 20 and discharging by a blower 31a.
