PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved fixed caliper/sliding rotor braking system. SOLUTION: In this brake caliper 110, a brake pad back plate includes a first pad receiving face for limiting the rotation of a brake pad in the first direction, the first pad receiving face is defined on a first lug surface of a first lug projected from an approximately flat part, the first rag surface has a radius larger than an outer radius of a frictional material, and is positioned on a frictional face side of a wear limit plane, and further a static brake pad 123, and a frame having a housing area receiving an actuator, a counteraction-side part receiving a static brake pad in axial braking, and a first bridge arm connecting the housing area with the counteraction-side part, are mounted.
