PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a footstep body for getting on and off on the inclined side from interfering with an adjacent seedling to exert a bad influence such as disturbing the transplanted attitude of the seedling by securing the minimum ground clearance. SOLUTION: In this riding type rice transplanter, a driving part is provided on a machine frame, and a step forming body is stretched from the driving part, thereby allowing a user to go on and off the driving part through the step forming body. The base end part of the footstep body for getting on and off is fitted to the outside part of the step forming body, and the footstep part for getting on and off is freely changed in position between the working position of disposing the distal end part under the step forming body and the storing position of disposing the distal end part above the step forming body.
