PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate which can control the occurrence of a curl, can obtain high adhesive properties in a heat resistant resin layer and a metal thin layer, and is excellent in heat resistance and mechanical strength and to provide a method for producing the laminate in high productivity. SOLUTION: In the laminate, the heat resistant layer made of a cyclic olefin polymer having specific structural units and the metal thin layer are laminated. The method for producing the laminate has a process in which a polymer solution containing the cyclic olefin polymer having specific structural units is applied on metal foil, and the obtained coating film is dried.
