PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tableware identifiable by positively recognizing the kind and allowing a data carrier to be attached into an accurate position of the lower face of a tableware body. SOLUTION: In forming the tableware body 1 of synthetic resin, an annular surrounding wall 36 is provided at the lower face of the tableware body 1, and a downward open storage recess 12 is formed at the inner periphery of the surrounding wall 36. Engaging recesses 14 are recessed at the inner peripheral upper edge of the surrounding wall 36. A pair of communicating grooves 37 are provided at the inner periphery of the surrounding wall 36, and the engaging recesses 14 are opened to the lower face of the surrounding wall 36 by the pair of communicating grooves 37. Engaging projections 15 are protrusively provided at two parts of a resin coating layer 30 provided coating the surface of the data carrier 2. These engaging projections 15 are put through the communicating grooves 37 to fit the data carrier 2 into the storage recess 12. In the state of the engaging projections 15 being put into the engaging recess 14 through the communicating grooves 37, the data carrier 2 is horizontally turned along the engaging recesses 14 to engage the engaging projections 15 with the engaging recesses 14.
