SLIDING ARMREST

A console (10) with an adjustable armrest (14) is disclosed. One or more sliding engagement members or tabs are biased to apply a traction or friction force to a longitudinal projection or rail. In one embodiment, the sliding members are disposed on a base pivotally coupled to the console and the rail extends from a bottom side of the armrest. The traction force is designed to inhibit undesired or inadvertent movement of the armrest yet allow for easy movement and adjustment of the armrest.
