<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for multimedia streaming service which guarantees QoS by embodying streaming service using a TCP. <P>SOLUTION: The system for the multimedia streaming service comprises: a VOD server which transmits a header of MP4 contents (moov) and media data (mdat) successively by TCP packets; and a client which transmits a streaming service request signal to the VOD server with an HTTP, accumulates the media data (mdat) received from the VOD server in a decoder buffer for a predetermined period of time, and reproduces it in real time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
