<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mammitis diagnostic device capable of diagnosing a mammitis accurately and nondestructively with a simple method, by a cow's milk manufacturer or the like, when the mammitis is diagnosed and examined. <P>SOLUTION: This mammitis diagnostic device is provided with a heating means (heater 12 shown in Fig.) for heating milk of a measuring object, an active oxygen species sensor KS for detecting the presence of an active oxygen species in the milk as an electric current after heating the milk to a prescribed temperature by the heating means, and a mammitis diagnostic means (current value increase amount computing part 32) for judging the propriety of contraction of the mammitis, based on a current value detected by the active oxygen species sensor. Handling is very simplified for the cow's milk manufacturer by this manner, because no additive is required when detecting as the current the presence of the active oxygen species by the active oxygen species sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
