PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform monitoring for a long period of time by using a digital camera. SOLUTION: This digital camera 1 is connected to a pyroelectric sensor unit 3 for detecting a prescribed monitoring object. The pyroelectric sensor unit 3 feeds power supplied from a power source through an AC adaptor 3a to the digital camera 1. The digital camera 1 operates by the power fed from the pyroelectric sensor unit 3, and photographs the monitoring object when the pyroelectric sensor unit 3 detects the monitoring object.
