PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) voice communication method and a system for widening a band for voice data, improving an SNR, and improving voice communication quality. SOLUTION: At a transmitting side, a downsampling means 1 downsamples voice data, an auxiliary information generating means 5 generates auxiliary information required for band widening from the downsampled voice data, an encoding means 3 encodes the downsampled voice data, and a steganography embedding means 7 embeds the auxiliary information in the encoded voice data. At a receiving side, the auxiliary information embedded in the received voice data is extracted, the voice data are decoded, high pass components are generated on the basis of the extracted voice data, the high pass components are added to reduction components of the voice data, and the resultant data are upsampled and outputted.
