PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared camera system for a vehicle for detecting accurately deviation of the mounting position of the infrared camera without providing a heat source separately. SOLUTION: In this infrared camera system for the vehicle, the infrared camera 1 installed on a spot not interfering the front field of view of a driver on a center part on the window shield upper side, is installed with its imaging direction facing to the rear of the vehicle so that a window heat wire 3 forming a prescribed thermal imagery pattern stuck on a driver's seat, a passenger seat and the rear window surface is included in an imaging region. In the infrared camera system for the vehicle, the position of the thermal imagery pattern of the window heat wire 3 is detected by a microcomputer 2 based on the thermal imagery imaged by the infrared camera 1, and a mounting position deviation value of the infrared camera 1 is calculated based on the detected position of the thermal imagery pattern.
