PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the formation of a gap on hole end faces of second passage holes joined with each other at their peripheral edge parts and to improve the working efficiency by reducing the frequency of works in cleaning and sterilizing processing, in a junction-type plate heat exchanger. SOLUTION: In this junction-type plate heat exchanger, edges 23 of the second passage holes 11, 12 joined with each other at their peripheral edge parts, of a cassette plate 5 are joined over the whole periphery by welding. Whereby the formation of the gap between the hole end faces 21 of the second passage holes 11, 12 joined at their peripheral edge parts can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
