PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient gas flowing speed by reducing the opening area at the outlet of a chimney with a simple constitution so as to enable to safely perform dephosphorizing operation by using a non-combustion type converter exhaust gas treating unit set for decarburizing operation. SOLUTION: In the non-combustion type converter exhaust gas treating unit set for decarburizing operation, the chimney is reconstructed into the chimney for dephosphorizing operation by fitting a core 16 in the inner part of the outlet part of the chimney 11 to reduce the opening area at the outlet of the chimney.
