PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatically supplying and discharging device for a pile carrier, reduced in device space and low in manufacturing cost, capable of discharging a carrier on which paper sheets are piled up from a piling device for piling up paper sheets on the carrier without requiring worker's unreasonable work and supplying the carrier for pile to the piling device. SOLUTION: An insertion carrier stand-by part is provided on the upstream side in the direction of insertion of pile carrier for a paper sheet piling-up position. Carriers in the piling device are discharged through the carrier in the stand-by part in a pileup condition. A pile carrier pushing-out device for inserting the carrier at the stand-by position into the piling device is provided at an insertion carrier stand-by part position. The carrier inserted into the piling device is automatically supplied to a piling-up position by an elevating device. The carriers are inserted into linking members capable of leaving and disengaging due to joining and energization by attraction force of a magnet fixed to a tip part of a carrier pushing-out member and other means and are joined.
