PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discriminating instrument for a pallet capable of avoiding penetration of water into the inside of the pallet to the utmost. SOLUTION: This discriminating instrument 10 for the pallet has a first plate-like part 11 made of a thermoplastic resin and a second plate-like part 13 extending to a specified direction from a main plane 111 of the first plate-like part 11, and is constituted so that a projected part 12 is formed on the main plane 111 of the first plate-like part 11 so as to surround a mating section of the main plane 111 and the second plate-like part 13, and a wireless discriminating tag 14 is arranged along the second plate-like part 13.
