PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking mechanism of a vehicle at a low cost, always easily releasing parking by ordinary lever operation in a simple structure using a boosting mechanism. SOLUTION: This parking mechanism for a vehicle includes: a parking gear 3 provided on an intermediate transmission shaft disposed on an output shaft of a transmission or interposed between the output shaft and a wheel to transmit power to be integrally rotated; locking means 6, 11 removably engaged with the parking gear 3 to fix the parking gear 3; and operating force transmission means 25, 15, 10 for transmitting the operating force of the lever operation to operate the locking means 6, 11. The operating force transmission means 25, 15, 10 are provided with a boosting mechanism 20, and each boosting mechanism 20 boosts the parking releasing operation force and transmits the same to disengage the parking gear 3 from the locking means 6, 11 when the parking releasing operation force of the lever operation acts more than a predetermined value.
