A compact servo drive for a roller blind has the electric motor, reduction gear and control circuit mounted in a inner sleeve (1) located inside an outer sleeve (3) on which the blind is wound. The outer sleeve is fitted with a magnet ring (48) for position control. The servo system is supplied via a mains power cord, with the transformer and rectifiers inside the inner sleeve. The blind operation is via a remote control unit connected to the control circuit by a second lead.
