<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device which suppresses positional deviation of incident light in the direction P (longitudinal direction) of a photodetector when the arrangement of an optical system is deformed or displaced under the influence of the temperature or the humidity in which the optical head device is used. <P>SOLUTION: The objective lens-side part 15 of a prism 6 is adhered and fixed to a holding member 17 by using a hard adhesive 62 having a large elastic modulus, and parts 14 other than the above part are adhered and fixed by using a soft adhesive 61 having a small elastic modulus.
