<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying the kind of strawberry, by which various kinds of strawberry can accurately be identified in flexible response without being affected by a culturing condition, a preserving condition and the like, while using the seedling, fruit, or the like of the strawberry as a sample. <P>SOLUTION: This method for identifying the kind of the strawberry is characterized by amplifying a DNA extracted from at least one of the fruit, calyx, leaf and stem of the strawberry by a PCR method targeting a different base sequence between the kinds of the strawberries, using one of nineteen kinds of primer pairs as a primer, digesting the amplified DNA with restriction enzymes, and detecting the produced polymorphism. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
