<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose ester film package and a cellulose ester film, in which an original roll of cellulose ester film, for use as a polarizing plate protective film, is prevented from being damaged by foreign matter during long storage and from sticking one layer to another layer. <P>SOLUTION: The cellulose ester film package 10 is such that the cellulose ester film taken up onto a core 1 in the form of a roll is wrapped with a wrapping material 3. Adhesive tapes 4 are applied to the joint of the edges of the packaging material 3 and to each joint of the core 1 and the wrapping material 3. Thereby almost no empty spaces are left in the contact part between the edges of the wrapping material 3 and each contact part between the core 1 and the wrapping material 3, so that the package is sealed. The wrapping of the roll of cellulose ester film with the wrapping material 3 is repeated at least two times from inside to outside.
