PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet folding device for folding a sheet 1 along a folding line 2 and doubly overlapping the sheet so that the folding device is not interfered with other devices when the sheet is folded, and the sheet is worked by other device. SOLUTION: A holding means 5 is provided on one end of a cylinder 3, the sheet is held by the holding means in a vicinity of one end of the sheet 1, a rotary shaft 7 is disposed with a space from the folding line, and a driving mechanism 8 is assembled therewith so that the cylinder is inverted around the rotary shaft. In addition, a control device is connected to the driving mechanism and the cylinder, and the cylinder is inverted by the driving mechanism after holding the sheet.
