PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To thin (reduce height of) a coil component having at least two coils, such as a common mode choke coil and a transformer. SOLUTION: In the coil component, on a first magnetic substrate 2 formed by a magnetic material, an insulating layer 60, first and second coil conductors 11, 13 insulated by the insulating layer 60, and a magnetic layer 8 are formed. There is a bonding layer 50 on the magnetic layer 8 for bonding the side of the magnetic layer 8 on the first magnetic substrate 2 to a second magnetic substrate 4. The electrode terminals 41, 42, 43, and 44 are formed on a pair of facing sides of the first and second magnetic substrates 2, 4 each, and one of the other pair of facing sides becomes a packaging surface.
