PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct liquid fuel cell stack enabled to prevent fuel from flowing out. SOLUTION: The stack is interposed and formed among a plurality of bipolar plates with a membrane electrode assembly having anode and cathode electrodes disposed on both faces of an electrolyte film formed thereon, respectively. The plates have grooves with prescribed depths formed so as to surround an electrode area each face of which is provided with the electrode; and a plurality of fuel passage holes supplying fuel into a flow path channel of liquid fuel or oxidant fuel formed on each face of the plate and formed inside the electrode area. A sealing member is formed on the groove. Thereby, the leakage of the fuel is prevented, so that the fuel of the cell stack can be used for a long time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
