PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems, where a test piece and a tool in a complex shape are required, a testing method is complex, and evaluation is difficult in high-strength materials in a material testing method in conventional pull strength and a mixed mode. SOLUTION: One in a simple shape, such as a sphere, is used as the test piece 1, cracks 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b are easily developed in the test piece 1 by using a conventional tool, such as a Vickers penetrator, and compressive load is applied to the test piece 1, thus inexpensively and easily performing a material strength test and evaluating the material strength.
