A vascular catheter (1), especially a vein indwelling catheter, comprising a bas body (2), a catheter which extends from the base body (2), a cannula (5) extending from a handle area (7) through a sealing area (8) in the base body (2) through the entire catheter (3), the tip (6) thereof protruding above the catheter (3), and a connection channel laterally adjoining to the catheter in front of the sealing area (8). At least the handle area (7) on the cannula (5) extends into a dimensionally stable cannula cage (10) which can only be removed from the base body (2) when the cannula (5) and the tip thereof (6) is drawn out of the base body (2) and drawn into the cannula cage (10). |
