<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging material which can be suitably used for an imaging method using laser beams; a thermal transfer sheet which has an especially uniform coating surface-like imaging layer with an improved transferability of an image formed in the imaging layer to an image receiving sheet; and an imaging method using the imaging material. <P>SOLUTION: In the imaging material, the image receiving sheet with at least an image receiving layer formed on a support and the thermal transfer sheet with at least a photothermal conversion layer and an imaging layer formed on the support, are used and the imaging layer of each thermal transfer sheet and the image receiving layer of each image receiving sheet are lapped together opposite to each other. In addition, an image is recorded by transferring a laser beam exposure region of the imaging layer to the surface of the image receiving layer of the image receiving sheet with the help of laser beam exposure from the thermal transfer sheet side. The thermal transfer sheet has a back coat layer formed on the opposite side to the imaging layer across the support and the back coat layer contains a surfactant with a branched perfluoroalkyl group in a molecule. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
