<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of preventing a damage of an insulating member even if an impact is imparted from the outside. <P>SOLUTION: A lead terminal 25 connected to a sensor element 14, and an insulating member 15 wherein an insertion hole for inseting a lead wire 50 connected to the lead terminal 25 is bored are arranged on the rear end side of an external cylinder 5 and arranged on the sensor rear end 142 side of the sensor element 14. Since an elastic buffer member 17 is arranged between the peripheral surface of the insulating member 15 and the external cylinder 5, even if an external impact is imparted onto a protective external cylinder 7, a compressive stress caused by the impact can be absorbed by the elastic buffer member 17. Hereby, since the compressive stress caused by the external impact onto the external cylinder 5 is not transferred directly to the insulating member 15, the damage of the insulating member 15 can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
