<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting structure of a fuel tank embodied in a simple construction capable of restricting movement of the fuel tank in the fore-and-aft direction and in the vehicle width direction resulting from the inertial force when a large impact force is applied laterally to the vehicle owing to a collision. <P>SOLUTION: The supporting structure of the fuel tank 3 to be installed on the undersurface of the floor panel 4 of the vehicle body is to support fast the tank 3 on the floor panel 4 through a long stretching supporting member 5 abutting to the bottom surface of the tank 3, wherein the supporting member 5 is furnished locally with a projection 8 which is directed upward and fitted in a recess 3b formed in the bottom surface of the tank 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
