<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device whose power consumption is kept low during use. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic device 1 comprises a high-load processing CPU 2 capable of being shifted to a low power consumption mode for performing high-load processes, and a low-load processing CPU 3 for performing low-load processes. The high-load processing CPU 2 normally operates in the low power consumption mode. Only when the low-load processing CPU 3 directs the execution of a program requiring high-load processes, the low-load processing CPU 3 controls the high-load processing CPU 2 to shift it to a normal operating mode to execute the program so as to reduce the power consumption of the electronic device 1 during use. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
