PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component inspection device which can readily inspect even a component with both a bump and a pad, or the like and a component shifter whereon the device is mounted. SOLUTION: The component inspection device has a camera 30 which can image a component C and a funnel-like lighting means 32a which casts light aslant toward the component C. In the funnel-like lighting means 32a, a plurality of lighting areas are divided around an optical axis of an imaging means and each lighting area is constituted to be lit-on/lit-out respectively and has an imaging control means which controls lighting timing of each lighting area and imaging timing of the camera 30 for switching and lighting each light area one by one for each imaging of the camera 30.
