PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke system which has its remote controller equipped with an input part for personal ID information for specifying an individual and capable of retrieving personal information by using the remote controller while securing privacy even when unspecified many persons share the same remote controller. SOLUTION: The karaoke system 100 comprises the remote controller 200 which sends a playing indication for karaoke music to a karaoke machine, the karaoke machine 300 which receives the indication information from the remote controller 200 and plays the karaoke music, and a server device 400 which is connected to the karaoke machine 200 through a network. The remote controller 200 is equipped with a personal ID information input part for inputting personal ID information of a user, a transmission and reception part 215 which pairs and transmits the personal ID information of the user and the indication information to the karaoke machine 200, a transmission and reception part 215 which receives answer information, and a display screen part 211 which displays the received answer information.
