PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent a Karaoke playing machine from illegally being used by judging an illegal terminal according to ID information of the karaoke playing machine. SOLUTION: The ID information of a Karaoke playing machine judged to illegally be used is previously registered on a musical piece disk 12. When a specified ID is given to a Karaoke playing machine 10, a measuring means 17 measures specified events such as playing times of musical pieces, playing frequencies of musical pieces, registration frequencies of reserved musical pieces, or the use period or use time of the Karaoke playing machine. After the measured value of the measuring means 17 reaches a specified value, the Karaoke playing machine 10 is inhibited from being used. When, however, a disk control means 13 downloads specific data from the musical piece disk 12 to set a new specified value before or after the measured value of the measuring means 17 reaches the specified value, and the ID given to the Karaoke playing machine is not the illegal use ID registered on the musical piece disk 12, the measuring means 17 is initialized to enable the karaoke playing machine 10 to continuously be used.
