PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle sensor and its manufacturing method, which can prevent a sensor property from lowering caused by stresses applied to a magnetically sensitive section of a magnetic detection device, even while protecting the magnetically sensitive section from dew condensations and migrations. SOLUTION: The rotation angle sensor 58 is provided with sensor ICs 80(1), 80(2) which detect a rotation angle of a throttle gear 16 on the basis of a magnetic field generated in a space between a pair of magnets 44, 45 being arranged on the throttle gear 16 so as to be opposite to each other around the rotation axis; a print circuit board 90 to which respective connection terminals 85, 86, 87 of the sensor ICs 80 are connected electrically; and a holder 60 which is mounted on a cover 30 in such a state that the sensor ICs 80 are contained therein and the print circuit board 90 is attached thereto. Furthermore, a potting resin 88 which is a sealant being made of a flexible resin material and sealing the magnetically sensitive section 81 of the sensor ICs 80, 180, is injected into the holder 60.
