PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purifier capable of largely ensuring the surface area of a photocatalyst and easy to handle. SOLUTION: The purifier 10 is equipped with a first planar light emitting part 13 constituted of a flat light pervious light guide plate 11 and the transparent plates 12 arranged on the front and rear surfaces of the flat light pervious light guide plate 11 and the light source 14 arranged along one end surface 11a of the flat light pervious light guide plate 11. A porous body 24 having a honeycomb structure provided with a large number of almost hexagonal through-holes 22 is stacked on each of the front and rear surfaces of the first planar light emitting part 13. The photocatalyst 26 comprising anatase type titanium oxide (TiO<SB>2</SB>) is applied to and supported on the inner wall surface of each of the through-holes 22 constituting the porous body 24 and each of the front and rear surfaces of the first planar light emitting part 13 surrounded by the through-holes 22.
