The boot ski group is made of three major modules including the boot, a rail and a slide. The latter is spade shaped at the front and rear ends and upwardly curved. The underside has a running face of metal. The slide undersurface has a metal face. The slide can have a similar length to an inline skate. The slide can be connected to the boot with a high torsional stiffness.
