<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety of a vehicle in collision by avoiding the breakage and damage of a power supply cable even when a driving apparatus moves in collision. <P>SOLUTION: The driving apparatus 10 mounted on a car body 11 so as to be arranged in the longitudinal direction comprises a generator case 29 in which a motor for power generation is installed, and a gear case 27 arranged on the rear side of the generator case 29. A case side terminal base 65 to be connected to a stator coil of the motor for power generation is fixed to the gear case 27. A car body side terminal base 66 is fixed to a floor panel 15 composing the car body 11. The car body side terminal base 66 is arranged so as to be located below and behind the case side terminal base 65. In addition, the power supply cable 64 is provided to connect the case side terminal base 65 and the car body side terminal base 66, and a protective cover 67 is provided to cover the power supply cable 64 at a specified region, the power supply cable 64 being arranged along the gear case 27.
