PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side visor for an automobile, which does not cause an incongruous feeling by making an appearance of a brim portion so as to be hardly distinguishable from a door frame, and can improve its durability. SOLUTION: The surface of the brim portion 1b is coated by means of an ornamental molding 3 having a metallic luster over the range between both ends in the forward and backward direction including an edge portion at an upper edge. The ornamental molding 3 having a metallic luster is made of stainless steel. The engaging piece 3a formed by folding the upper edge of the ornamental molding 3 is engaged with the upper edge of the brim portion 1b. Further, the engaging piece 3b formed by folding back the lower edge of the ornamental molding 3 is engaged with an undercut type cut-out engagement groove 2 formed at the boundary of the visor portion 1a and the brim portion 1b. The folded portions of the engaging piece 3a and the engaging piece 3b have the same curvature as that of the metallic portion in the door frame on which the side visor is to be mounted.
