PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing structure of a motor which uses an oil-retaining bearing, sets plays in the shaft in a thrust direction at a prescribed amount, without dislocation or looseness of fitting. SOLUTION: The oil-retaining bearing 1 which supports the shaft 6 of the motor M is fitted in a pocket 2, with a recessed cross sectional surface which is provided at a casing 10 of the motor M. A peripheral edge portion of a bearing cap 3 having a shallow boss portion 3a at a center portion is welded at appropriate portions, in contact with an opening edge portion of the pocket 2 in the casing 10 so that a boss portion 3a fits in the pocket 2, and the edge surface is brought into contact with the oil-retaining bearing 1, thus pressing the oil-retaining bearing 1 and preventing the oil-retaining bearing 1 from dropping off the pocket 2.
