PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize simply executing deletion of a recorded content without error. SOLUTION: A method for deleting and managing the content includes a plurality of steps including a step of continuing a reproducing process of the content, a procedure capable of deleting the reproduced content by a user selection, and a plurality of procedures including the procedure capable of deleting the content under the condition of executing dubbing process. When the content is recorded, an identifier for specifying one of the plurality of the deleting process procedures is written in management information of the content, the identifier of the management information of the content is discriminated when the reproducing of the content is ended or when the contents is intended to be deleted, the deleting process procedure is specified, and the deleting process is executed in the specified process procedure.
