PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block for which engagement effect can be expected and capable of producing three-dimensional scenery. SOLUTION: This concrete block is formed in an approximately H-shape in plan view and comprises a front surface 1, a rear surface 3, and vertical surfaces 2 joining continuously these front and rear surfaces to each other. The top part 5 of the front surface 1 is higher than the vertical surfaces 2 and the rear surface 3. Also, an opening part 4 is formed at the wall center part of the vertical surfaces 2, and a cutout part is formed in the rear surface 3. By this, when the block are stack on each other, the lower part of the front surface of the block is brought into contact with the top part of the surface of the lower stage block to stop its displacement in the direction of the rear surface. At the same time, a stepped pattern is provided to the flat surface to produce a perspective three-dimensional flow. Also, the rear surfaces 3 form a continuous wall in a stacked state, serve as a form when in-filling concrete is placed therein, and the form for in-filling can be eliminated. In addition, when soil is filled in a cavity part in the communicated state of a space surrounded by the front surface 1 and the rear surface 3 with the outside by shifting the upper and lower blocks in the direction of the rear surface, that space can be used as a cultivation space for the roots of planting.
