PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention member for a generally available crescent lock mounted on a double sliding window or the like, which automatically works at the time of locking of the window so as to block illegal unlocking of the window from the outside. SOLUTION: The crime prevention member for the crescent lock is formed of a main body having an interior space, and an opening formed in at least part of a bottom thereof, for communicating with the space; a stopper movably arranged in the main body in a manner protruding from the opening; and a slipout preventive means for preventing the stopper from slipping out of the main body. A portion of the stopper, protruding from the opening due to the gravity functions to inhibit a crescent piece of the crescent lock from rotating at the time of unlocking. Further the main body has another opening at a top thereof, for communicating with the space and allowing the stopper to be inserted/withdrawn. Thus even if the crime prevention member is mounted on the window in an upside-down posture, a portion of the stopper protruding from the upper opening by the gravity inhibits the crescent piece of the crescent lock from rotating.
