PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a planned water intake quantity, without causing clogging. SOLUTION: This radial catchment well pumps up water via a well cylinder, by collecting underground water flowing in respective catchment pipes in the well cylinder, by radially burying a large number of catchment pipes 10 in an aquifer by communicating with the well cylinder 1 excavated from the ground surface. The radial catchment well is characterized in that the catchment pipes 10 are formed into a structure for arranging a slit-like catchment groove 11 in a row at a required pitch P in the peripheral direction of an area of a lower half part of the pipes; these catchment pipes 10 are buried in the radial direction in the aquifer from the well cylinder 1; and the underground water flowing in from the slit-like catchment groove 11 is collected and taken in the well cylinder.
