PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for rim contacting part which combines excellent heat aging resistance, set-proof property, and excellent fatigue failure resistance. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for rim contacting part incorporates, based on 100 pts. wt. of a rubber component consisting of 0-60 pts. wt. of a natural rubber and 100-40 pts. wt. of a polybutadiene rubber, 50-90 pts. wt. of carbon black, (a) pts. wt. of sulfur, (b) pts. wt. of a compounding agent B represented by the formula: R<SB>2</SB>N-(C=S)-S-S-(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>x</SB>-S-S-(C=S)-NR<SB>2</SB>[R=C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>5</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>, x=6], and (c) pts. wt. in a total amount of one or more sulfenamide type curing accelerators.
