PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-permeable membrane excellent in gas permeability and excellent in mechanical strengths and solvent resistance and to provide a method for producing a high-quality gas-permeable membrane stably at a low cost. SOLUTION: The method comprises casting a mixed solution containing a reactive-group-containing polymeric material and a photopolymerization initiator which photopolymerizes the polymeric material over a water surface to form a thin film 5 on the water surface, photopolymerizing the thin film by irradiation with light 7 to form a gas-permeable membrane, and pulling up the gas-permeable membrane from the water surface.
