Blind rivet nut for soft and brittle materials has penetration section with higher upsetting resistance than upsetting section, created by integrated compressed sections

The nut has a sleeve-shaped shaft (8) with a rivet nut head (2) at one end. The shaft has an inner thread section (5), an upsetting section, and a penetration section with a higher upsetting resistance than the upsetting section. The increased resistance is created by integrated compressed sections (13) on the inside of the shaft and parallel to its longitudinal axis. The sections extend along grooves (14) and through the rivet head to its surface. The compressed sections are formed by a tool esp. a die.
