<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system that enables printing of multimedia data received from a media source that is communicatively coupled to the printer. <P>SOLUTION: On the basis of the received multimedia data, the printing system produces a printed paper or other printed output as well as a related electronic output. Further, the printed and electronic outputs provide a representation of the multimedia data. The printer is also capable of communicating and controlling the functionality of the media source.
