<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus information management system for more quickly providing information related to an image forming apparatus to a request origin than a conventional manner. <P>SOLUTION: A PC1 to be managed waits for the generation of a print end event (S207), and when the number of print jobs inputted to a queue is turned to be zero (S213), printer information is acquired from a printer 3 (S215). Thus, it is possible to prevent a huge time from being spent on information acquisition from the printer 3, and to prevent a load for printer information acquisition from being imposed in the middle of the processing of the several print jobs. The printer information acquired from the printer 3 is stored in the DB of an auxiliary storage part 14, and when the provision of the printer information is requested from a management PC2, the printer information read from the DB of the auxiliary storage part 14 is quickly provided to the management PC2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
